You are not required to have a tertiary qualification, however, you do need to have an internet connection, a laptop and headphones. The requirements vary depending on the site that you are on. For example, some sites might require you to have a TEFL certificate which is unfortunately not free. 
2. Freelancing: There are different platforms where one can sign up as a freelancer which gives you an opportunity to use your skills and also gain some experience. There are companies like Upwork, Freelancer.com and Fiverr. It is free to sign up and if you're required to make any payment upfront it might be a scam. Be careful and always make sure you're on the right website.
3. YouTube: If you're someone that enjoys being in front of the camera then this might be for you. Just choose your niche and get going. It can be beauty, fashion, business or educational content. If you're not so sure how to start go on youtube and search "How to start my own Youtube channel". 
4. Print-on-demand business: If you're a graphic designer, fashion designer or if you're a huge fan of the art then this might be for you. You can sign up on platforms like Printify and create some dope designs for your merchandise. It is absolutely free to start, however, you need to connect it to an e-commerce store like eBay or Etsy which can be a little daunting at first but you'll definitely get the hang of it.

Starting an online business is not some form of a "get rich quick" strategy. You do need to put in all the hard work in order to see those results. You need to be patient, believe in yourself and have a businessman/women mentality. It is also important that you do your research before starting just so you can get a little idea of what it is that you want and what it is that you want to achieve.
